Although liquid helium (LHe) system has many advantages such as capable of reaching lowest temperature of 10 K and vibration free, it has various significant drawbacks like high cost, inconvenient long-distance transportation and short continuous refrigeration time. Under the premise of utilizing helium gas as the refrigerant, we developed an alternative design for daily usage by replacing the expensive LHe with a cheaper option: room temperature helium gas source. The advantages of this system are the low maintenance cost associated with room temperature refrigerant, ultra-low vibration through the use of multi stage vibration isolation and long-term operation due to the closed-loop refrigeration cycle used in the system.

TTT-CCC-03 utilizes helium as refrigerant and uses a combination of Gifford McMahon cold head and helium
compressor to adopt a closed loop, fully automatic control mode with no limit on operating time. Since the system is in a closed loop, there is almost no helium loss during operation. TTT-CCC-03 system can be transferred among multiple measurement platforms during operation. This makes avoiding irreversible change in sample properties induced by temperature changes. Using flexible bellows and passive/active vibration isolator, the vibration at the sample is minimal which ensures extremely high stability and repeatability of the system. With the built-in heater, the controllable temperature range is 10-500 K。
